落羽松と書いて、「らくうしょう」と読みます。素敵な名前でしょう。ところが僕は光が丘公園にあるこの木を絵に描いた時、これをヒマラヤスギの一種だと勘違いして、絵葉書にしたときにもタイトルに間違った名前をつけてしまいました。夏の輝く光の中で立つ力強さを表現しました。そして、秋に紅葉した姿もまた美しいことを付け加えておきます。アルシュ26cm × 36cm
Rakuusho; literally, it means "pine that drops feathers." Cool name, isn't it? But when I painted the tree in the Hibarigaoka Park in 2018, I took it for a cedar, and put that wrong name on the postcard of the picture.
